How long will it take for my accident report to be completed and how do I obtain a copy?: Generally, Motor Vehicle Crash Reports are available five days after the incident. We make every effort to have these reports completed within the five day period, but occasionally reports may take longer. 2. What are the towing fees if my vehicle has been impounded?: Towing fees are governed by City Code and can vary upon the circumstances. Please feel free to contact Police Records at 856-825-7010 ext. 7621 for more information. The City Ordinance that governs towing fees is CO 52-58.

3. What are the curfew times in Millville for juveniles?: Curfew hours for juveniles are governed by City Code, which states "It shall be unlawful for any juvenile to be in any public place between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday through Saturday of each week".

4. What is the telephone number for the Millville Municipal Court?: The municipal court can be contacted at 856-825-7000 ext. 7619. Their hours of operation are 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. The court is closed on weekends and holidays.

5. How can I sign a complaint?: This depends on the circumstances and what type of complaint you wish to sign. Some complaints can be filed directly with The Municipal Court and others are referred to a police officer for an investigation. You can contact The Municipal Court at 8568257000 ext. 7619 or speak to a police officer for more information.

6. How do I contact the Property and Evidence Unit?: The Millville Police Department's Property and Evidence Unit can be contacted at 856-825-7010 ext. 7625. Their hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. They are closed on weekends. If you believe that The Property and Evidence Unit has possession of your belongings, contact them first to schedule an appointment for its retrieval. Without an appointment time, we can not guarantee that someone will be available to assist you.

7. How do I contact the Animal Control Unit?: Animal Control can be contacted at 856-825-7010 ext. 7311. Their hours of operation are Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. They are closed on weekends and holidays.

8. What is the telephone number to the police tip line?: You can phone in your tips to 856-825-2112. This line is not staffed 24 hours a day, but it is checked frequently by members of our Investigations Division. DO NOT use this tip line for emergencies or to request a police response to a incident. For emergencies use 911.

9. What is the non-emergency telephone number to the police department?: 825-825-7010. Listen to the voice prompts to quickly route your call.

10. How can I file a complaint against a police employee?: The Millville Police Department accepts all complaints against its employees at any time. They are taken seriously and formal procedures are in place to thoroughly investigate the complaint promptly and fairly. You may contact The Professional Standards Unit at 856-825-7010 ext. 7338 or email them at internal_affairs@millvillenj.gov to obtain a
Citizen's Complaint Form.

11. Do I need a permit for my alarm system at my residence or business?: Yes. The permit process and fees are governed by Municipal Code. In summary, the code states "No person who installs an automatic protection device shall directly key said device to a designated trunkline without obtaining a connection permit from the City Clerk. The fee for the connection permit shall be $50 and shall be paid once at the time of connection.
No person shall use an automatic protection or detection device within the City without obtaining an annual user permit from the City Clerk. The fee for the annual user permit is $20 which shall be paid to the City Clerk when the application is filed. The annual permit expires on December 31 of each year. Senior citizens and persons totally and permanently disabled are exempt from the payment of the user fee, but shall otherwise comply with regulations.
