PRESS RELEASE                                                SEPTEMBER 21, 2021

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY JOSEPH PEPITONE AND CHIEF OF POLICE JODY FARABELLA HAVE ANNOUNCED THAT THE CITY OF MILLVILLE WILL BE OBSERVING “TRICK-OR-TREAT” ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 31st -
FROM 4:00PM - 7:00PM, RAIN OR SHINE
.

DIRECTOR PEPITONE AND CHIEF FARABELLA REMIND PARENTS THAT CHILDREN SHOULD NOT TRICK-OR-TREAT ALONETHEY SHOULD BE ESCORTED BY AN ADULT OR AN OLDER CHILD OR SHOULD GO WITH A GROUP.  ALSO, CHILDREN SHOULD WALK ON SIDEWALKS AND CROSS ONLY AT THE CORNERS, NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLOCK.  IF THERE ARE NO SIDEWALKS, THEY SHOULD WALK ON THE SHOULDERS, FACING ANY ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

ALL CHILDREN SHOULD WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE AT HOME BEFORE EATING ANY TREATS.  THIS WILL ALLOW PARENTS TO SORT AND CHECK ALL ITEMS FOR ANY IRREGULARITIES

ALSO, BECAUSE THE CITY OF MILLVILLE IS OBSERVING HALLOWEEN ON ITS TRADITONAL DATE, THE DIRECTOR IS ASKING THAT RESIDENTS WHO WISH TRICK OR TREATERS TO COME TO THEIR RESIDENCE, TO TURN ON THEIR OUTSIDE PORCH LIGHTS, THOSE WHO DON’T, KEEP THEIR LIGHTS OFF. 

DUE TO COVID19 WE ENCOURAGE ALL PARTICIPANTS TO WEAR FACE-COVERINGS, STAY 6-FEET APART IF NOT PART OF A FAMILY UNIT AND TO USE HAND SANITIZER OFTEN.

CITY OF MILLVILLE

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF MILLVILLE WILL BE HOLDING A HEARING ON OCTOBER 5, 2021, AT 4:00 P.M. IN THE RICHARD C. MCCARTHY COMMISSION CHAMBERS LOCATED ON THE 4TH FLOOR OF CITY HALL, 12 S. HIGH STREET, MILLVILLE, NJ 08332, FOR THE FOLLOWING MATTER:

Appeal to the City of Millville Board of Commissioners filed on July 12, 2021 in the City Clerk’s Office following Action Taken by the City of Millville’s Zoning Board of Adjustment at a meeting held on July 1, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. where Liberty Village III was approved for (D) Use Variances allowing the construction of a “land lease community” consisting of up to 332 manufactured housing units at 2410, 2146, & 2424 Cedar Street Millville, NJ also known as Block 52 Lot(s) 88,89,90.01, 90.02, & 91 located in both an Agricultural Conservation (AC) Zone and the Airport Industry (I-3) Zone.

All interested parties may submit oral and written argument at the Hearing at the date and time mentioned above.

ACTION MAY BE TAKEN to reverse, remand, or affirm the final decision of the Zoning Board of Adjustment on the above-mentioned matter

            Notice is hereby given that an Ordinance, a summary of which, is hereinafter set out, was introduced before the Board of Commissioners of the City of Millville and passed its first reading on September 21, 2021 and that said Ordinance will be considered by said Board on final passage October 5, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. in the Richard C. McCarthy Commission Chamber, City Hall, 12 S. High Street, Millville, New Jersey, when and where all persons interested therein will be given ample opportunity to be heard for or against the adoption of said Ordinance:
