We make every effort to have these reports completed within the five day period, but occasionally reports may take longer. You may obtain a copy of the report by visiting our Police Records Section, located on the third floor of the police building. If you believe that The Property and Evidence Unit has possession of your belongings, contact them first to schedule an appointment for its retrieval. Without an appointment time, we can not guarantee that someone will be available to assist you.

  • Yes. The permit process and fees are governed by Municipal Code. In summary, the code states "No person who installs an automatic protection device shall directly key said device to a designated trunkline without obtaining a connection permit from the City Clerk. The fee for the connection permit shall be $50 and shall be paid once at the time of connection. No person shall use an automatic protection or detection device within the City without obtaining an annual user permit from the City Clerk. The fee for the annual user permit is $20 which shall be paid to the City Clerk when the application is filed. The annual permit expires on December 31 of each year. Senior citizens and persons totally and permanently disabled are exempt from the payment of the user fee, but shall otherwise comply with regulations.
